I know I already did a story about how Shyam came to be in my keep. But this story does not include Mysticheart9 at all, and this isn't the same story. It's after that, yet not. If I should move this post to Shyam and Mysticheart9's story, let me know. And I'd accept commentary.
Chapter One: The trouble begins.
Magi Guard was getting comfortable with his new life with Mystic, forgetting about his troubles with the vampires before.
Little Merigolds was sleeping, but her vines went back and forth, cutting the air like a butterknife.
Shyam Frill remembered how her vines glowed that one night, around the time Magi Guard came around, and how it seemed like a magnet. Why was that?
"Hm?" Magi Guard looked at him. He was an adult now.
"...Did I say that out loud?" He asked.
"Yes." He said.
"It's nothing, then." Shyam said.
The king seemed rather stressed ever since he took the position. It's been a long time since the last attack, but this was still a slow recovery.
"Your highness?"
The king sighed. He learned the hard way that they were not going to call him anything but that anymore. "Yes?"
"Remember the frill you were looking at?"
"Yes... My insticts tell me that he might be able to take my place, if I fail because I don't know how to exactly do my job correctly..." He said.
"Well, we've got our eyes on him. But the snag is, that...Creature, that you said defeated us last time..."
"He's her friend, too, isn't he?" He asked.
"Yes."
"That's just peachy..." He sighed. There was no easy way out of this job once you're in it.
"But there is some good news. If you DO decide to go after him, we'll make sure that creature isn't going to be a problem. If you don't, we found something."
The king turned to him. "What did you find?"
As the person went to retrieve the mysterious item, the king sighed, and started making a small noise with his dark green claws impatiently.
He soon came back with a book. On the job, the guards did learn how to read both human writing, and draconic writing.
"Where did you find this?" He asked, perking up as he saw the old vampire wrote it. Maybe some tips would be in there...
Shyam was about to go to sleep when he thought he spotted something. A design that he somewhat remembered being described. He went closer, to look around the bends, but found it was gone. Finding it strange, he decided to ask Mystic about it.
Unfortunately, Mystic was gone, for some reason. But when he found no note, he started to worry. She never, ever, left without leaving a note.
He went to Little Merigold to ask where Mystic was. "Little Merigold, do you know where Mystic is?" He asked.
"No, I don't. No note, no pairs of shoes on Mystics feet, no nothing..." Little Merigold said, worried.
"Strange... This...Officially worries me." He said. He almost completely forgot what he was going to say about what he saw before this.
Magi guard saw them, and slowly walked over to them. From their looks, they may have gotten the same news.
"Guys... I know you know that Mystics gone...But I think I know what happened." Magi Guard said.
"What happened." Shyam aksed.
Magi guard turned to him, his voice grave as he said "The vampires have returned."
Chapter 2: Isn't life great?
"That... That explains what I saw before coming here..." Shyam said.
"A hatchling. Was it white, or like one I described?" Magi Guard asked.
"Like one you described." He said.
"Then I wouldn't know that hatchling..." Magi Guard sighed.
"And it's close to Halloween. Just when they're the strongest..." Little Merigold said.
They forgot about the pool for the water dragons. There was a hatchling staring at them.
"And that hatchling staring at us...Is it okay?" Shyam Frill asked.
"I have no idea..." Little Merigold said with a sigh, looking at it. He ducked into the water just as she turned, so she didn't get a long look at it.
"Okay then." Shyam Frill said.
"But if you saw them... They may have captured Mystic to draw you in." Magi Guard said.
"...Are they mistaking me for a magi dragon too?" Shyam frill asked.
"I'm not sure, but if they aren't, it makes no sense, due to the usual nature of your species." Magi Guard said.
"I'm going to go visit my Grandma, alright you guys? I'll be back soon." Little Merigold said, but left before Magi Guard could object to it.
Little Merigold walked into Miss Isa's house, just to find she was missing. There was obviously a struggle here, as it was a mess. "He's right... But why back to Isa? She couldn't defeat them..." She said. But she remembered what she was told before. Was that why? To stop her from passing information to Vampire Slayers? She looked at the broken things one more time, and found...A note.
She went over to it, and read it.
It basically said "Dear Merigold. If you try to go against us, your grandma dies." What a nice note.
"The proof doesn't make any sense. I see a male vampire hatchling, Mystic ends up gone, even though as far as I know vampires don't bite humans, and is apparently trying to use her to get me, just a simple scared blue eyed frill dragon that some mistake for a magi to their lair, when I have no idea where it is. Or maybe they're trying to make us think that, but they're after a different target." Shyam Frill said.
"Little Merigold, or me, would be the only victims I could think of... Or her son, Mystical MagiVine. Her vines did glow when around his tiny vines." Magi Guard said.
"Yeah... It's still hard to believe that she had him, though." He said.
"I know. But let's just go with it..." Magi Guard said.
"Alright. So Mystical MagiVine may be in danger too. But they wouldn't really know about him...Right?" Shyam Frill said.
"Hopefully not." Magi Guard said.
Little Merigold came back, holding the note. Seeming rather stressed.
"What...Oh..." Magi Guard saw the note before he could ask, and went over to her, and read the note.
"This...Also makes no sense." Magi Guard said. "Why would they capture Miss Isa, and Mystic, if they DIDN'T want us to go?"
"No idea. But we've got to save them, somehow. And if they ARE after Shyam, that's going to be a problem." Magi Guard said.
"But...Aren't frill dragons common?" A white hatchling asked.
"No. Dragon slayers wiped out the wild ones. Thus, no more can come into existence through them. None through the cave, either. And it's strange, how it seems like no frill eggs can be obtained through the frills... So, it's a problem if they're after Shyam. Even if they were still common, it'd still be a problem." Magi guard said.
"Okay." The hatchie said, and went away.
"And plus, the castles moved since then, and none of us have been bitten. So, we can't go attack them." Magi Guard said.
"Now...Just how to get around that?" Little Merigold asked.
Chapter 3: Vampire Bait.
"I've got an idea." The water hatchling said. It was staring at them with it's cold eyes, which looked normal, yet it seemed like the water hatchling was having some problems. Little Merigold was silent. She'd have to address it after they save Mystic.
"And what would that be?" Magi Guard asked.
"Capture a vampire. Wouldn't they know?" The water hatchling asked.
"Well...Yes, but how are we going to do THAT without getting bitten ourselves?" Magi Guard asked.
An ocherdrake, named X-iomania, was chirping randomly.
"Ocherdrakes can't exactly get bitten, right?" The white hatchie asked.
"Vampires don't go after Ocherdrakes for that reason. But we need bait that they're actually after..." Magi Guard said.
Then everyone listening to the conversation turned to Shyam.
"I am NOT going to be the bait..." Shyam Frill growled.
Shyam frill was walking through the forest, after dark. "I can't believe I'm doing this..." He said quietly.
Being out after dark, even being an adult now, the trees still looked like monsters that were going to attempt to eat him. He was about as big as a black lab, and he was one of Mystics smaller dragons.
The forest was eerie silent, and unmoving. He swore he could hear a leaf land.
But he heard no footsteps or wing flaps. Which made him uncomfortable, because Merigold was supposed to be following.
Meanwhile, Merigold and X-iomania weren't far behind, keeping her silent footing. And there was a vampire, who had a face that looked like a male vampire dragon. And those looked pretty scary.
Shyam frill had no idea what was going to happen.
"What's the plan?" He telepathically asked his partner, a completely white, except for a few red places, vampire dragon.
"You distract Merigold, and I'll knock out Shyam, and bring him to our lair. Merigold, thankfully, wouldn't be able to follow. And we all know Ocherdrakes are stupid." She said telepathically.
"Alright, lets do this."
None of them were expecting what was going to happen next...
The Female vampire jumped onto Merigold. Unfortunately, the vampire was big enough to keep her down, even with Merigolds vines constantly trying to throw her off. X-iomania was confused, but had gotten knocked out easily when he got on track.
The male vampire jumped in front of Shyam, scaring him. The bait worked.
Shyam jumped back at the sight of this guy. He was much bigger than he was, and even somewhat bigger than some of the bigger ones Mystic owned.
But the guy walked closer to try to cover the distance. Shyam kept backing up, and tried to make himself look bigger with his frills.
"It doesn't work." The vampire said, smirking as he was still walking closer.
Soon, a white one joined the male, by jumping onto Shyam. Shyam tried to get out from under her, but was unable to.
"Aren't you supposed to be distracting Merigold? And thanks..." He said.
"Yes, but she had gotten knocked out easily enough. Easier than him." She said.
"We don't need to knock him out, though that would make the trip easier for the three of us. We just need to get him paralyzed, or just have a tight enough grip he can't fly away." He said.
Shyam was too scared to ask "Why don't you just bite me and get it over with?"
As if he did ask it, the male vampire answered. "A specific one has to bite you. For reasons he'll have to explain."
"How about this? I wont struggle, if you answer the rest of my questions." Shyam said. He was hoping there was some way out once you're in their lair.
"Hm..."
"With the truth." Shyam added.
"...Fine." The vampire said.
And they flown off, with Shyam being tightly in their grasp.
Chapter 4: The answers
"First off, where are you taking me? And by that, I don't mean your lair. Where would that be, is what I meant." He said.
"Oh...Just the place considered the land of darkness. Nobody would know how to find that, I'm sure." The Vampire said.
Shyam sighed. That got him nowhere. Except he felt more fear than he did before. If he did escape...That was a scary title, that had to have been given to that land for some reason...
"What's the reason it's named that?" He asked.
"Oh... Because creatures of the night live there, why else? Zombies, neglected dragons that managed to escape, us, and whatever else you can think of that would scare you." The vampire said.
"You live in your lair, above that?" He asked.
"Yes." The vampire said.
'Of course...The Zombies there are just mindless ones...Surely I could escape from their grasp...Right?'
"To answer your thoughts, while you're not going to be able to get off of castle grounds, there is one zombie, called a scient, that feeds on smart people, thus, is smart itself. It knows how to make more of its kind, too." The female vampire answered, in response to his thoughts.
"Great..." Shyam sighed, coming to the conclusion that he was dead meat.
"How did you guys get back on your feet after the last attack?" Shyam asked.
"When your friend, Little Merigold, used her vines of light to kill us all by killing the king, one survived. He is now the king, who, due to stress, wants to step down after all these years. Granted, he never wanted the job, but he never spotted anyone good to replace him...Until he spotted you." The vampire said.
"Why me?" Shyam asked.
"Well... My theory is, he thinks you can survive the ancient light. I don't know if this is true, but I think that I'll believe him." She said.
"Wait a minute... If you want ME, then why did you capture Miss Isa, and Mystic, but not me, until now?" Shyam asked.
"We wanted to fool your friend into thinking we were after her and wanting to kill her. Of course, she wouldn't know where the Land of Darkness is, so she thought of the trusty scene to make one dragon we were after--you--bait for us, to try to capture us and get information. So, jokes on her, and that'll teach her she can't outsmart us."
"Okay. So the land of darkness is... How long would the trip from where I was take to get to its start?" Shyam asked.
"Oh, a few hours... Which means we might need to rest before then." He said.
"...Joy. Does your king even know you captured Mystic and Miss Isa?" Shyam continued on asking.
"Miss Isa, yes. He's okay with that. Mystic, no." She said.
"What will happen to them after I turn?" He asked.
"Mystic will be released. Miss Isa will be bitten." The vampire said. He really needs a name.
"What should I call you two?" Shyam asked.
"My name is Osias." The male vampire said.
"Mines Jasmine." The female one said.
Shyam was silent now. Finally running out of important questions to ask.
Merigold woke up, with a massive headache. She felt as if her body had been crushed, yet she could still stand...Barely. And it hurt.
"Cheep cheep."
She turned to where she heard the chirping, and saw X-iomania was fine.
She managed to grab him with her vines before he took off, back to home.
"Is Merigold alright?" Healerstar asked.
"Cheep cheep." X-iomania didn't know how to speak english.
"I'm fine." Merigold said, and let go of X-iomania. She couldn't stay standing for long on her own.
Healerstar sighed. "I know you don't want to worry me, but you're not alright. Healing wonder, can you come here?"
Healing wonder came over, and immanently tried to see what was wrong with Merigold. Seeing as she was beaten by being almost crushed by a dragon 3-5 times her size, her legs were broken, but her vines were fine.
Meanwhile, Shyam noticed that they had moved onto rock. There was no vegetation there, and so little light it was hard to see anything.
"We had reached the Land of Darkness." The vampire said.
Chapter 5: The odd plane called the Land of Darkness.
Shyam found it hard to take the sight in. There were no dragons in sight, but it did seem like it'd be habited, as there were caves where they could be lurking. Or was there some other danger to be afraid of? Are they just all asleep? Shyam didn't want to find out.
"How far from here is your...Um... Whatever your home is?" Shyam asked.
"Not too sure how far away we are, though I can see it." He said. They had landed, and they were ready if Shyam tried to escape.
Shyam looked up, and he could see it. The floating mass of ground high in the air, but it seemed so far away, yet all too close.
"It always looks far away when we get back after a hunt. But we're too close to stop now." The female vampire said.
"Before we left, I talked to the guards. I had a feeling that we wouldn't be able to make the whole trip back the first day. With us two, we could've, but with someone that could escape if we get too sleepy... I didn't want to risk it." The male vampire said.
Shyam decided not to comment on it in his mind, and went with them to the place the guards are supposed to meet them at.
It was just an ordinary empty cave.
They don't sleep in front of the doorway, but when the white vampire was fast asleep, the male vampire whispered "I'm not going to sleep in front of the doorway. But if you're thinking of escaping when I'm asleep, mark my words. Mystic is just going to die, rotting in the prison she's confined in if you don't turn." Shyam turned to him, and the vampire fell asleep for a nap, those cruel words being his last for now.
Shyam wasn't able to sleep, even though he was really tired. He saw both of the vampire dragons were taking a nap, and he knew the others would be coming soon.
"I wish I could just get it over with." He sighed softly, laying down himself, looking at the stars in the sky outside. He didn't want to be a vampire, but was it really escapable this time? Sure, he's beaten and escaped a vampire once, but that was when he was younger. A hatchling, which was the time when Magi Guard escaped this fate, too. And Little Merigold lost her ability to kill the entire vampire race with her vines, giving the skill to one of her children, which may not be Magical Magivine. And whoever got that power, if anyone at all, probably doesn't even know it yet. Things just seemed hopeless.
It wasn't like Shyam always thought only the negative. There was just a dragon outside of the cave, feeding on the little hope Shyam had left.
Shyam just soon decided, after being unable to sleep for a while, it would probably be easier for them if they didn't have to go into the cave.
He did go outside, just in time to get tackled by something, very huge because of the fact that he felt a lot more weight than he was used to.
"What are you doing here?" A voice growled. He could see the tail of this thing had sharp spikes on it.
"I-I was brought here." Shyam said.
"What species?" The voice said, not getting any lighter. Though its tone changed. From threatening to just curious.
"Vampires." Shyam said.
"Stupid things. Think they're the ruler of this place, just because the actual ruler is okay with their ruler. It's stupid. And right after I leave, they think the cave doesn't belong to anyone." The dragon growled, but not aimed at Shyam, getting off of him.
Shyam got back on his feet, just in time to see a grey big dog like thing run away.
He did feel better, now. Maybe it was because he wasn't the only one that didn't like them.
"May I ask why they brought you here? They just couldn't make the whole way back to that retched place?" The dragon, which sounded like a girl, asked.
"What I caught out of what they told me was their ruler didn't exactly like his position, so he wanted someone to take his place. Why me, though, I have no idea. And they apparently thought I was too heavy to force to come the entire way, so they made a deal with some others, I think." Shyam said. He wasn't so sure now, but he believed they said the guards of their lair.
"Well, they seemed mighty stupid to just let you come out, if that was the case."
He explained what he thought was their tactic of making sure he didn't run off.
"She's in their lair, they say? Chances are, if they ARE telling the truth for once there, then she's dead. Or worse..."
Shyam dug his claws into the dirt, and his ears went back. She couldn't be dead. Vampire dragons only bite dragons, and very rarely kill human beings...Right?
"I'll still try to help you rescue your owner, but if they lied about it, at least you didn't find out when it was too late." She said, then motioned him to follow.
Chapter 6: The mysterious dragon and the plan.
While he didnt want to take the chance that she was alive and they would stick to their promise of her being dead, he was starting to feel that perhaps she was right, that perhaps it may be too late for her anyway...
"I forgot I had that effect on normal dragons. Maybe my sister will be able to fix that..." Shyam didnt know what she was talking about, but they soon were there. While he was filled with some hope, now at the level he normally had in situations, he looked up and was frozen, absolutely terrified of what he saw. Neglected, Ghost dragons, one absolutely terrifying looking zombie with black, souless eyes, staring at him. There were some black dragons with a white swirl on them. He turned his attention to the white dragons with a black swirl on them. He didnt know why, but he found they had a calming effect on him.
"What is that thing and why is he here, Melissa?" The zombie asked.
"The vampires brought him here. They must want him for some reason. Especially if they are going to go as far as capturing this guys owner and threatening that she will be dead if he doesn't go willingly with them." She said.
"And we should help him because?"
"Well, other than the fact that Mysticwave is probably already dead, and vampires are idiots, don't we want to show them who's the real boss here?" Melissa asked.
For a minute, he thought about it. "She isnt dead."
"What?"
"She isnt dead. I would have sensed it. But, those idiots had interfeared with another plan I had with that. Perhaps we can come up with a plan to help them both..." He said.
"In case your wondering why you're feeling sleepy, probably because you didn't get enough sleep." He said.
"I just can't take you seriously as an actual kitten with dragon wings."
"And remembering what I actually am would make my plan not work."
"So the plan is to make it seem like you, what? Cute me to sleep?"
"You're absolutely hilarious. But no. But you will probably fall asleep in..."
Shyam got to a safe hiding spot that vampires knew of.
"Three...Two...One..."
Shyam fell fast asleep due to what was given him earlier.
"Idiotic things. At least one of them should have known to sleep in front of the entrance. Then we wouldn't have to--" He just stopped talking when he saw the 'Kitten with dragon wings.'
"What is it?"
"A kitten dragon."
"So it's a Pygmy?"
"No. It's an actual kitten dragon."
"Those don't exist. It must be a Pygmy."
And they argued back and forth until the 'Kitten dragon' hissed at them.
"Mew." He meowed and went to pawing at where Shyam was.
"So the kitten dragon wants to share something. Perhaps we should see. I mean, what harm could it do?"
"...I have a bad feeling about where this is heading. Random kitten dragon when trying to find Shyam. What's next? A dragon puppy wanting to eat what we have left?"
"Meow...Meow..." He meowed.
"Alright alright. Insistent aren't you?" He asked, then moved the stuff in the way, and found Shyam sleeping.
The kitten dragon grabbed onto Shyams leg, and started poking it. As if concerned.
"Perhaps we should bring both of them up. We want Shyam, and the kitten dragon... I don't think it'll be much of a threat."
"Sure, sure. Then it'll turn into some shadow dragon and try to engulf the city."
"You really don't make any sense right now."
"Meow...Meow...Meow..." The kitten dragon meowed at them.
"Fine." They lifted him up, and brought him to the castle. And the "kitten dragon" joined the ride.
Chapter 7: Just because you see it, doesn't mean that's the way it is.
Shyam was put in a room in the castle that would prove comfortable for him to rest in. During this process, the Scient (what the kitten dragon really is) explored.
"Sir, we got the dragon that could be the replacement, if you still don't wish to continue this."
"That's good, at least. I do hope that he'll be a good one. And that none of his friends tries to attack us. I don't know if any of us can stand one more attack." He said. "Those that did survive don't survive a second time, usually."
"Mew." He meowed. Allowing them to know of his presence.
"What is that?"
"A 'Kitten dragon' apparently. It's harmless. At least, we assume that's the case."
"Okay then... May I just be alone, please? If it's harmless, you should have no issue with that." He said.
"Alright sir." They left after that.
Once the king was sure they were out of hearing range, he said "Alright, I know that you must have something to say, since you put on the clever disguise to make yourself look like a kitten dragon to the rest of the population here. Plus, usually you're busy ruling the rest of the land of darkness, aren't you?" He asked.
"Pretty much, yes. Your guards captured someone I need to talk to, actually. And I'm not even sure if you know who it is." The scient said.
"Miss Isa?" He asked.
"No, but you're in the right category, in a sense." The scient said. "Mind following me?"
The king got up, and followed the scient through his own lands dungeon, and soon found... Something that was definitely not a dragon.
"Mysticwave, is it?" The scient asked the scared looking eight-teen year old in the cage.
She managed a small nod, but backed away from the kitten dragon. Not even seeming to see the king looking at the cage yet.
"What happened, Mystic?" The king asked, stepping closer to the cave.
Mystic managed to tell her story, trying to stay focused on the king instead of the scient.
"It's against my rules to capture a human... And they didn't listen to me..." He seemed really, really irritated at that.
"So, how do you want to go through this? I don't exactly know where her home is, and she seems to see through my disguise." He said.
Before the king could say anything, the scient said "And she was unconscious on her way here, so she wouldn't know the directions. And yet, we can't just leave the girl here, can we?"
"You're right, we can't... And I would ask Shyam, but I know he wouldn't come back after..."
"I think I got an idea. Ask the guards that brought her here to bring her back, perhaps?" He asked.
The king left, and the Scient decided the answer was 'that'd work.'
"How can you see through my disguise, Mysticwave?" He asked, turning his attention back to her.
"I-I don't know..." She said, backing away from him again until her back hit the wall.
"Despite my...Rather rough look, I don't plan to hurt you. Quite the opposite, actually. As you might have overheard, Shyams here. And, I dislike the vampire race as much as you do, believe it or not. Only reason I let them live is I tolerate the leader they chose. He tends to make sure they stay out of my hair." He said. "So, I'm going to make you a deal. Don't lead onto the others about me not being...Well, as I seem to them. Say you're allergic to cats or something. And I'll try to help Shyam not become one of them in the future. That sound like a deal?"
She hesitated, but nodded. Soon the guards that threw her in this mess came. They didn't seem to like it, but she could see the kings eyes saying they had no choice but to let Mystic go now.
The 'kitten dragon' got on one of the guards, the one that picked Mystic up by her shirt and put her on the other guard. And then they went on their way, to the place where they caught Shyam at.
Chapter 8: Just because someone else sees something you don't, doesn't mean there is something wrong with them.
Shyams friends found Mystic unconscious in the exact location where Shyam had been caught, with a cute little kitten dragon pawing at Mystics ear.
They decided to take it along with Mystic, since what could a cute little kitten with dragon wings do?
Shyam woke up, and went to explore. He felt weak, and his neck hurt like hell. But he needed to get with terms of his current situation. So with that, he went into the dungeon, and saw Miss Isa, laying there. She was still breathing, still being kept alive, but he remembered the guards words. Mystic would be let go, and Miss Isa would be bitten.
Miss Isa looked up, and said "Shyam? Is that you?"
He nodded, and looked at her neck. They hadn't gotten to her...Yet.
"They didn't...Get you yet, did they?" She asked.
"I think they have, actually, with how I'm feeling... But there is no way I'm going to let them bite you."
She got to her feet. "And how are you going to do that?"
"Not be a wimpy baby for once in my life, perhaps." Shyam said, which made Miss Isa seem amused.
"For what you are, you're not as much of a wimp as one would expect. Maybe that's why they think you're a magi dragon." She said.
"No wonder." Shyam said.
The guards that meant to take Miss Isa to her execution (what Miss Isa basically knew it was), came. "Hello...Shyam is it?" One of them asked.
"Yes. What are you planning on doing with my friend here?" Shyam asked.
"I'm pretty sure the ones that brought you most of the way here would have told you." The one that spoke before said. The other seemed to be mute. Just looking at Shyam with minor fascination.
"Yes, they gave me some idea..." Shyam said, not sounding like he liked it.
Before the guard could say anything, Shyam said "I get that you need to eat, I'd just really prefer it's not my friend you make a meal out of. I know you captured her to make Little Merigold stay away, but the only thing keeping her away is the idea that Miss Isa will die if she does not. So it'd be a very stupid move to make her a meal."
"And who says she'll ever find out?" The guard said. "The king isn't exactly going to let you go off and tell her, you know."
"Yes, but... I don't think you want to risk it. Especially with the fact that, if knowing the risks behind biting Miss Isa, the king would probably get irritated at you guys, at the very least. At least since he found out that you guys captured my owner to attempt to lure me here, and didn't tell him." He said.
"...That actually happened? I thought those guards were joking. >.>"
"That did happen. So, I'm already on the edge. With being captured, bitten while unconscious, stuck here, with the possibility of my friend being killed, with nobody back at home that actually knows where I am... I don't think you want me to go over the edge before my...Transformation, is complete." He said.
"Well...We can't exactly let her go, because she again loses her reason to stay back, and Miss Isa would figure out how to lead them here. And I don't exactly think she's into cannibalism."
"I'm not, but I guess I'll have to deal with it." Miss Isa said, her stomach grumbling. Though she glared at her stomach after.
"...I think it's absolutely disgusting, but, after it's complete, I wont have much of a choice on that matter, will I?" Shyam said, seeming to be feeling sick from just the thought of it.
The guard that hadn't spoken frowned, and went over to Shyam. Helping him stay steady. "...I...I'm just going to go away now." The other one went away.
Mystic was back home, retelling the story while the scient explored. Mystical MagiVine was playing in the flowers, pretending to chomp on enemies like a normal vine dragon hatchling tended to do. He wasn't rooted, unlike the others. The scient knew very well that Little Merigold must have been its mom, from the way it looked like it was not going to be rooted anytime soon. He went over to the creature, sensing some...Very odd drawing to it. It's vines glowed and hurt him when he got too close. He backed up, and twitched his nose. "That's not normal..." He whispered to himself.
Mystical MagiVine looked at his glowing vines, confused. Then up at the "kitten dragon." It looked like a confused puppy for a bit, then it decided not to mess with it and run to its mom.
"So, you're saying the 'kitten dragon' you brought with you probably knows the way there?" Little Merigold asked, seeming to be perking up.
"Mommy, my vines were glowing when a strange creature came near me. Is that normal?" Mystical MagiVine asked.
"No, what'd it look like?" Little Merigold asked.
Mystical MagiVine described the kitten dragon.
"Well, that is...Odd, but it's good to know it was you I passed my ability to." Little Merigold said.
The scient looked at the hatchling in the water, and went up to it. He could tell from its thoughts that it had some intelligence inside it, and also the fact that it could look like it would have a grim fate by halloween.
It turned to him, and went way under the water. Then looked back up at the scient, wide eyed in fear. As if reading his mind as well as seeing past his disguise.
To be continued.
