This is another story I came up with just because I was bored. I'll pretend I got him as an almost grown up hatchling.
For a thousand years or so, Controller of the icy winds practiced his powers, the cold protecting him from the outside threats, and making it so he had many frozen prey to eat--mostly humans who travel here to see if the rumors were, indeed, true.
He gained his wings, and made the dangerous decision to explore more of his icy depths.
When exploring, he saw red dragons that weren't frozen by the ice bitter cold. Along with a human being kept warm by the dragons body and bundles of clothing. A girl, he knew, due to the long hair boys didn't normally have. Girls had an advantage here, because that long hair keeps their neck from getting cold due to wind not hitting the neck.
He flew up onto an icy tree, hiding in the branches frozen perfectly for hiding behind.
The girl: Are you sure you saw any caves here Mistress of the Blue Flame?
Mistress of the Blue Flame: Mystic, I told you not to come. Many humans freeze here. But the answer to your question is Yes. it's only visible when the controller of the icy winds is in it, though.
Mystic: Then the controller of the icy winds must not be in the cave, for I don't see one.
The only savior had a gut feeling that they weren't alone, however. His feeling stated that there was another kind of dragon nearby.
He blew the tiniest flames he could muster on the branches.
They broke. The hatchling had quickly moved to another set above that one to hide, but he was already seen.
Mystic was just looking at him. She didn't say a word, but she looked Mystified at the sight, as if his kind was never seen so easily in her grasp before, and his species was so beautiful that she had to have one.
He knew what would happen if he couldn't get out of the tree. Soon he would have to find an exit.
He worked his Icy wind magic, but it failed. The fire dragons had kept Mystic unfrozen, and they didn't freeze.
After a long while, he was knocked out.
When he woke up, he found he was too warm. Icicles formed on his body, despite the warmth. This helped some, but it failed to help more.
He looked around, frantic to find some way to get back.
A vine gently touched him. It froze, but it was the only thing that didn't freeze completely. It was complicated how.
He turned, and it was a vine dragon that didn't notice her vine was frozen.
She asked him why he seemed frantic to leave when he hadn't given anybody a chance in his life.
The question shocked him--did he really not give anyone a chance? Really?
It was probably so, but if more people were like this Vine dragon, maybe he would've.
He told her the reason was he knew he'd melt here, if he stayed with them. It was too warm, and it was a world he shouldn't be in.
She lead him to the coldest place in the house, colder than the freezer--the basement.
"That room is probably a place you could stay until we figure something out. It may feel warm to you still, but it's the coldest place in the house."
He thanked her. When he was about to go down, he realized her vine was still frozen to his head. He knew he should fix that before going down.
When he tried, he noticed the wound that must have knocked him out. He wondered how those dragons managed to pull it off, then went back to what he should be doing.
He managed, then he thanked her for her rare kindness, then went downstairs, finding the temperature was just right for him. Not to warm, but, if possible, not to cold either.
So he stayed, and one day hoped that he could, maybe, find a way to protect the few that decided to come with him of this world and go back to his one real home. Someday, he hoped he'd also find out that vine dragons name. He knew she was different from her kind. They were usually rash, eating everything that got to close, having only foes. Something had made her different. Maybe, he'd find out what. When he did that, he would allow himself to go home if he truly wanted to.
The end.
I hoped you liked this one. I'll be making one for the others, too. Later.
