The dragons arena was probably the hardest thing that a dragon could endure. The duels were like a small war that needed to be fought to move to the next war.[glow=red,2,300]The dragons' blood left stains on the sand below them.[/glow]The duels weren't to the death but if a dragon didn't recover with in a month it would most likely by from the battle wounds.
The dragons couldn't fly because of the metal cage they were in, there was only enough room to make a high jump but nothing more. it is possible to tear the bars but no one has ever tried it.

A winter hatchling, along with a Yulebuck hatchling, both ungendered, got lost from their owner and found a way here. There was a lot of tough looking dragons around, most with wounds that didn't seem to heal. They hid, scared, away from the others. They had to find a way back, they knew, but...How?

The duel before ended a few minutes ago. Inar and Irik both walked in and went their seperate ways to their rest areas. The duel really finished ten minutes but it was due of ten minutes of resting and doing nothing so it ended in a stalemate. Irik grunted, he had no idea that Inar was that powerful. but it serves him right for boosting about his wins. Inar was probably the most peaceful dragon he thought. So he decided to duel him, His biggest mistake ever.

The hatchlings tried to find a single dragon that might help them, but every nice looking one was distracted, and the others...Well...They were scary. They went to a different part, and saw a steel cage with sand under it. It wasn't that big--the adults they knew, except Little Mathew, could only jump high in it. They found somewhere to hide before they heard footsteps.

Iran's rest spot had two windows to look out of, rare to have. The sight that he got was beautiful and really enjoyed looking out of it. It was his way to stare out of it, be lost in the wonderfulness of the landscape.
Irik's area was neat than the others, he had no window but there was a river near by because he can hear it so clearly that he could be in the river without even seeing it. By the sound of the river it was big enough to fit most of the dragons. The river kept his temper low so he didn't make any bad decisions by excepting duels without any sense. "If only I could really be in the river.
Inar and Irik took the least amount of time to heal. No one else, but them, knew that were in the wing they were in. Irik's healing speed was of the river. the noise gave him control. while Inar's healing speed was from the beautiful sight that he had from the windows, even though they were small...

Once they were sure the scary dragons had left, they came out of hiding. "Maybe one of them will help us." The Yulebuck whispered. "I don't know, but I don't really want to risk it." The winter hatchling said. They found a dragon sleeping, and the Yulebuck had an overwhelming urge to poke his nose. The winter hatchling just shook its head as the Yulebuck hatchling went closer. "I don't think he'd appreciate it." It whispered, hoping the dragon didn't have such great hearing so it wouldn't hear that.

Irik opened a eye just a tiny bit to see what was happening, after he found one going to poke him in the nose. "BOO!" He said loudly, still looking like he's sleeping.

The Yulebuck was scared silly and fell right on the Winter hatchling. "Get off you goofball." The winter hatchling said jokingly.

Irik laughed as he pulled his head up. "I never thought that would really work." He continued.
"Hey quiet down Irik, we're trying to sing over here!" A dragon demanded. Irik figured it out that if a few dragons sing they also heal fast. but his and Inar's was a complete secret.
"Poor dragon, he's been here since he hatched. The youngest of this wing. He's about five or six years old now." All of a sudden a bell banged in the distance. "Here, cover yourselves behind me. quickly, I'll explain once this is done.

They didn't have to be told. One second after he said that they went behind him.

A man walked in one of the side doors to inspect the dragons. "Great, I wonder who's he going to take away this time." Irik said to one of his neighbor, Calthira was her name.
"I heard that the dragons that are being taken away are used as our food, because our meals sure taste like dragon. I had my share of fights I know the taste." Some dragons roared at the man walking down the aisles. "The man didn't even flinch a bit!" Calthira was astonished. "Maybe this is a different man than we thought."
"No it's the man, that's why he doesn't flinch, he knows why they are growling at him." Then he noticed that she didn't eat her meat. "He is not going to be happy about you not eating your meat." Inar was being checked for his wounds. "Please don't tell me that he's going to take my brother away!"
The man looked at a deep bite. Irik thought he heard cursing but wasn't sure. The man whistled astonishing loud as a few seconds later a dragon entered through the main way. "Is that Barcalen?" Everyone asked as the strange dragon walked to Inar.

They wondered how they were going to get out of this mess. Sure, one of them was nice, but if they heard correctly... They might be one of the other dragons next meals if they weren't careful.

After the dragon that carried Inar out, the man continued down the road where he stopped by Calthira and just stared at the pile of meat she collected, thinking to himself. The man whistled again but this time a different melody. A man in his fifty's with gray hair came to the man. "I thought I ordered some cow for these dragons, I want to know WHY it hasn't arrived yet!" The man demanded.
"Well, you see, they don't accept orders when there are dragons to be dealt with." The man knew that he was in trouble for not telling the master of this problem.
"This is just getting out of hand, if the lords weren't after my head they wouldn't be here." The man sighed. "I'd hate to lose anymore dragons from starvation. It's bad enough that we have to feed them these corpses from the battles." The man stared at the older man. "Take me to your buyer and I'll have a chat with him." They were off.
Calthira started to eat furiously after the man left knowing now that it's from dead dragons.

The hatchlings knew they better get out, if they want a chance to survive at this point.

He let the hatchlings go without question, knowing that they were in danger if they didn't leave soon, but he decided to escort them out.
